Scripture:
Leviticus 11:45
I am the LORD who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.
Observation:
People are not called to be Holy for any other reason than to try and be like the Lord.
Application: This applies not only in the spiritual sense, but also in the physical sense. I need the reminder right now, that my body is to remain Holy to the Lord and the past 10 years or so, I have not taken care of it like I should. I need to think about my food choices and put them to the test. Am I treating my body as a gift from the Lord?
Prayer: God, help me to get closer to you. Remind me that I am made in your image. Help me to choose between the holy and unholy choices in my life. Specifically, please remind me that I am to make healthy choices for my life. Be my guide, walk with me, talk with me, be gentle, but please never go silent. Please speak clearly to me, even if I do not seem to be listening.
