this was taken from a post I made in response to someone asking - if we liked our kids' names and if we ever would change them.
I thought it would be great to write down
Holly is really Holland Mehr
Holland is my maiden name - we knew our first child would be Holland when I took ed's last name. Mehr is my Mother in laws maiden name. - I originally wanted it to be Mary after my mother in law and my mom (My Mom's name is Maureen Mary and MIL's name is Mary Ann Mary) But I didn't like the way Holland Mary sounded. So it became Holland Mehr
Hunter - well he picked it himself - I like to think. I was two weeks pregnant and I told Ed, Hunter is this baby's name. He said, we don't know if it is a boy or girl yet, I said, I don't care, it is Hunter. I had NO clue why. Then when we found out it was a boy - James was easy - my Grandfathers name
Hannah - well hers was tough! I knew she was my last and the kids and I thought to stay with the H's - it was one I really loved. Who knew it would be so popular? Christine is my middle name - both Holly and Hunter had such special meaningful names, and because Holly had my name, I felt Hannah should too. AND I really liked the way it sounded with Hannah. Then again, both my closest friends and husband's first reaction to Christine was - you are going to name her after your dog. To all of them - I had to remind them that that is MY name too! Christine was my dog that, incidentally, my oldest sister named after me (I was just born when we got her) she lived 17 1/2 years.
