I am sure my kids thought I was the meanest mom in church yesterday when I made them sit for a few minutes after mass QUIETLY as a family.
Of course, it was under the threat if they couldn't get their act together there would be no donuts (we always have a social hour).
H1 and H3 were immediately contrite. They got to leave after two minutes, which, as you know is eternity when there are fresh donuts waiting for you. However, it took H2 to hear the threat of not only no donuts, that after Sunday school he would have to come back and go to 11 AM mass (we go to 8:30) WOW - have to go to church TWICE?!?!?!? No way did he want to do that.
We shall see if they remember that next week.... Hopefully that made an impression

Whew - good work! Wonder if you'll ever have to make good on your threat to sit thought TWO Masses? I know a few teenagers who could use some retraining - do you take on clients?
I let the littles go to nursery, but G hates life that I have her sit through service with us. Too bad. She's a-gonna learn the liturgy.
